RICHARDSON PARK

Public BBQ

Richardson Park turned out to be a delightful surprise during my journey through Western Australia's wheatbelt. This recently upgraded adventure playground proves that small country towns know exactly what families need. The playground caters brilliantly to children from toddlers to ten-year-olds, with traditional play equipment, sandy areas and well-maintained grass creating that perfect balance where kids can exhaust themselves while parents relax at the picnic tables. The BBQ facilities are well-positioned and functional, making this an ideal spot for a proper Australian barbie. What impressed me most was the genuine accessibility, everything feels designed with families of all abilities in mind. The toilets are clean and convenient, and there's enough space for everyone to spread out comfortably. It's become a popular stopover for Perth-bound travellers.
